Vision Statement

Most companies don’t actually have a ‘vision’ though. Their vision that is actually driving them is ‘I think I/we should be rich’ and that’s it. You can start a software company to make life easier for people, or you can decide that ‘make life easier for people’ sounds like a good way to get rich. Your ‘Vision statement’ (which at this point is a barely-thought-out prefunctory ‘they showed us this is how you do it in Business 101′ chore in most businesses) and what the vision of the people leading the company actually is are two different things. Often, two very different things.
