How is it Sunday already? Semi-productive week last week, aided by both the fact that half of my colleagues are lost somewhere in the Cologne carnival and the fact that I had to wrestle down WordPress in a way I haven’t done before. Turns out if you have special requirements suddenly even a WordPress project can turn into a “proper” software development project. I did have two “shame on me” moments, though: One, I realised I hadn’t written proper SQL code in probably five to six years now. (Thanks, frameworks with your usually rather adequate-to-great abstraction layers.) Second: I didn’t actually know about CodeKata before. Well, I guess I’ll make some time to get those gears going again.
On Saturday I went to the photography meetup in Basel, which is really always nice. Somehow there’s always a good mix of interesting and friendly people. (And me. I don’t know how I fit into that mix, but there I am, taking photos.)
/now
- Remotely working at Pooliestudios
- Trying to sort out my brain, my life and my belongings in a way that I’ll be able to move to Cologne and remove that remotely from that first sentence.
- Still doing the Reporter thing. Too lazy to build something that actually produces some insight. I do have a whole bunch of data by now, though. Hmmhmmhmm.
Useless Stats
Cups of coffee I had since the last update: 9
Amount of sleep I’ve gotten since the last update: 49 hours, 41 minutes.
I listened to 338 songs by 150 artists, the song I’ve listened to the most was Tunak Tunak Metal by Bloodywood.
I didn’t watch a lot of television last week, but I am getting better at PUBG. (By better I mostly mean: I do hit people once in a while and I made it to the top ten a couple of times.)
