Best improvement of the new 1Password Firefox plugin: it just doesn’t do anything. Impressive.

It’s actually quite annoying if 1password as well as the browser password manager pop up at the same time.

I think it’s time for Lynx and post-it notes again.

Hey Markus, we have the guide below for this:

Let us know if we can help at all.

This might make the Internet a better place. And no more silly JavaScript stuff at work.

Since you’re out there answering questions – how do I use the new Firefox plugin with a local vault? It seems to require a subscription now.

1Password

The new extension connects directly to 1Password.com and is largely enabled by 1Password Web functionality. It currently only supports membership vaults, with local vaults needing the classic extension, but we’ll pass on this feedback.

I’d be fine with using the classic extension. Alas, all it does is blink wildly in my toolbar and if I manage to click it when it is not greyed out, it tells me to install the new one.

1Password

Sometimes it can get caught in a loop. We have these steps:
1. Open the main 1Password window.
2. Press Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-Q to quit.
3. Quit any browsers.
4. Re-open both & retry.
If that doesn’t help drop us a line to support@1password.com and we can troubleshoot further.
